Moto Razr Is Out... On Its Way To India
It’s finally here! Motorola launched the 2019 version of its iconic Moto Razr yesterday in Los Angeles. When we reported the launch and return of the icon a few articles back, Razr had already been a centre of leaks and rumours, giving away most of the spec details, looks and price making its release a less surprising event and more of “Okay, it was true!” thing.
The new Moto Razr, as the rumours suggested, has two screens- the primary folding screen and a secondary small screen with the device is folded. The main screen has thin bezels with a thick chin and a wide-notch.
As expected, Motorola launched the Moto Razr at a price of $1500 which totals around Rs 1,08,273 in Indian language. What’s more? Well, Motorola India teased the Indian fans with a teaser video and thus, confirmed that Moto Razr will be coming to India. Although the company didn’t reveal when the phone will actually be launched but we expect it to be much sooner than you think. And there’s no slashing of price in India, it seems. Motorola India has already opened a registration page for the Razr in India and you can cross your fingers that they’re planning a quick launch here.
We discussed the specs in the new Razr earlier but we’ll just assume you haven’t read any of our earlier posts and give you a short summary anyway… The Moto Razr runs on Snapdragon 720 processor with a 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Razr gets a puny 2510mAh battery with 15W quick charging support. The flip phone comes with age-old Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box but Motorola says it will update the phone with latest Android really soon.
The Quick Views secondary display comes with a 16MP camera which you can use to click selfies once the phone is folded. When you do unfold the phone, the same 16MP camera turns into a rear camera while you can use the 5MP camera on the main screen to have a video chat.
The main screen is a flexible pOLED display measuring 6.2-inch in size and that makes reading long documents easy without scrolling much. The screen gives a 21:9 CinemaVision aspect ratio and it’s pretty similar to Motorola’s earlier smartphones. The secondary gOLED display measures 2.7-inch with an aspect ratio of 4:3 and you get a fingerprint sensor on the thick chin.
