Rape-Accused Swami Nithyananda Creates His Own Hindu Nations, Calls It "Kailaasa"

The self-styled godman, Swami Nithyananda, who is at large for alleged for kidnapping and wrongful confinement of children to make them collect donations from followers to run his ashram in Ahmedabad, is surprisingly back in news for a website named Kailaasa.org suggesting him to have founded his own country along with its flag, constitution and emblem.

According to the website, the “Swami” has declared a ‘Hindu sovereign nation’ that even has its cabinet and a Prime Minister.

Yeah, you read that right! And if that wasn’t enough, you can even apply to be a citizen of Kailaasa and get its passport. “The citizens will be given a Kailaasa passport which, by the grace of Paramashiva, the holder of this passport is allowed free entry in all eleven dimensions and fourteen lokas, including Kailaasa.” In order to gain an opportunity to gain the citizenship of the “greatest Hindu nation”, the site called for donations for the country.

Reports by cyber experts suggest that the website was created on October 21, 2018, and last updated on October 10, 2019. It also suggests that the website has been registered in Panama with its IP located in US’s Dallas.

But the interesting thing about this sovereign Hindu nation is that there is no mention where this country is located. About the location, the website read: “Kailaasa is a nation without borders created by dispossessed Hindus from around the world who lost the right to practice Hinduism authentically in their own countries.” Pretty convincing!

It further read, “Though the Kailaasa movement is founded in the United States, and spearheaded by members of the Hindu Adi Shaivite minority community, it is created for, and offers a safe haven to all the world’s practicing, aspiring or persecuted Hindus, irrespective of race, gender, sect, caste or creed, where they can peacefully live and express their spirituality, arts, and culture free from denigration, interference and violence.”

Other than that, the website even displayed the national flag of Kailaasa known as ‘Rishabha Dhvaja’, featuring Swami Nithyananda himself (no surprise there), with Nandi, the vehicle of Lord Shiva.

The website even showed Kailaasa to have a number of government departments like homeland security & defence, commerce, housing, treasury, education and many more. The most fascinating department of them all is the ‘Department of Enlightened Civilisation’ which supposedly aims at working on reviving Sanatana Hindu Dharma.

Here’s something good for cryptocurrency investors in India: Kailaas would eventually have a ‘Dharmic Economy’, and a Hindu Investment and Reserve Bank, which will accept cryptocurrency.

Currently, Swami Nithyananda is also an accused in the alleged rape of his former disciple under the pretext of spirituality. In November, Gujarat Police arrested Swami’s two associates, and also booked him under charges of abduction, wrongful confinement, voluntarily causing hurt, intentional insult to provoke breach of peace and criminal intimidation under the Indian Penal Code as well as charges under the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act.
