Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, Netflix Is Coming With A Dark Version
"Jungle Jungle Baat Chali Hai Pata Chala Hai, Arre Chaddi Pehen Ke Phool Khila Hai!” Millennials, any idea what this is? No, it’s not an ad song for a branded underwear. It’s a song that has stuck with the 90s kids since their childhood from a cartoon that formed a great part of their memories. The Jungle Book was an out-and-out classic that is still fresh in our minds.
Putting a big smile on our faces, Netflix just announced the Indian cast for its new movie, Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle’s Hindi version. They have formed a bunch of stunning Indian cast for the movie, the actors’ are- Abhishek Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. According to reports, Abhishek will voice the black panther, Bagheera, Kareena as the python Kaa, Anil Kapoor as Baloo, the bear, Madhuri as the wold, Nisha and Tiger Shroff as the tiger Shere Khan.
The Netflix movie is directed by famous motion-capture expert Andy Serkis. The guy has worked in the Marvel, Star Wars and the Planet of the Apes film franchises. While the Hindi version has some powerful cast of Indian actors, the English version of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book adaptation stars Christian Bale as Bagheera, Cate Blanchett as Kaa, Serkis as Baloo, Naomie Harris as Nisha, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan. Rohan Chand (Lone Survivor) will play our little guy, Mowgli along with Matthew Rhys and Frieda Pinto having live-action roles.
The Original “The Jungle Book” followed the story of Mowgli, a man-cub brought to a pack of wolves by Bagheera. Mowgli’s life is threatened by the scarred tiger, Shere Khan. The cartoon and those moments of childhood, watching the show.
Now, Netflix has made its own version that seems darker and spectacular anything version we have seen before. The trailer released last month, have a look for yourself and get ready to be blown away!
