There’s Chuck Norris, there’s Rajinikanth and then there’s Keanu Reeves. This world belongs to these three gentlemen and we are just living in it. With Keanu Reeves’ “John Wick: Chapter 3- Parabellum” hitting the theatre and sending waves across the world he is ruling the silver-screen. But that’s not it! For now, the negotiations are underway to star Reeves in Marvels’ upcoming ‘The Eternals’. According to reports, Marvel Studios will start producing ‘The Eternals’ in the coming months. If talks between the two parties bear fruits Keanu will join the already announced cast of Angelina Jolie as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris and Kumail Nanjiani and Ma Dong-Seok in undisclosed roles.
The search for an Asian actor for a lead role is on, along with the casting of at least two more lead female roles for ‘Piper’ and ‘Karen’ to be done. The rumours of Reeves joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been doing the rounds ever since his name popped up to star in ‘Doctor Strange’ and then later in ‘Captain Marvel’.
‘The Eternals’ were created by Jack Kirby in 1976 and is set millions of years ago when cosmic beings called the celestials genetically experimented on humans to create super-powered individuals known as the Eternals along with the villainous Deviants.
