Bhansali Productions Shelves Salman Khan-Alia Bhatt Starrer Inshallah
After news of Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Inshallah’ being delayed, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali finally announced through his production house that the film has been shelved.
The makers of the movie took to the official twitter handle of Bhansali Productions to issue a statement that said, “Bhansali Productions has decided to not go ahead with In-shaa-Allah for now… Further announcement will be out soon… God willing.”
The news came a day after Bollywood superstar Salman Khan announced on Sunday evening that Inshallah will not be released on its scheduled date of Eid 2020. Salman tweeted on his official twitter handle, “The film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushed but I will still see you all on Eid, 2020. Insha-Allah!!”

The news of the movie being shelved comes as a shocker for thousands of fans who were eagerly waiting for the movie to bring back Salman and Bhansali together for two decades. The movie would have also marked Alia Bhatt’s first collaboration with Bhai.
As the news goes, the work on the film was supposed to begin in September right after Salman wrapped up works on ‘Dabangg 3’. The film’s music was to be scored by the director himself, who had recently won National Award for composing the soundtrack of 2018 movie ‘Padmaavat’ which starred Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Shahid Kapoor.
While the curtain rests on ‘Inshallah’ for now, fans can set their eyes on Salman Khan in his next, ‘Dabangg 3’. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is busy filming Sadak 2, a sequel to 1991 film Sadak, while another movie ‘Brahmastra’ with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor is all set for release soon. Alia will also be seen in Telugu film RRR, which also stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Ajay Devgn.
